What is reality???

So I have a dilemma playing out in my life right now.

Take a seat and let me explain. So I have this friend. We are close, I really like her, I know that she doesn't feel the same. That, however is not the problem (I mean it is a problem, just not this one).

Anyway we were chatting about blogs and such and I enquired if she had a blog like I have this one. She said that she did, but it was priviate and only a close friend of hers reads it. I discovered that it was actually a Tumblr account. She showed me a picture and I asked where it was from she said Tumlbr, I had never heard of tumbr before so I was interested in what it was. I did find her tumblr (I know I shouldn't have gone looking, but I wanted to see what it was about).

She has since discovered that I have been looking at her Tumblr. Don't really know what or how she feels about it. I discovered a lot about her, probably some stuff that she wishes that I didn't know - BUT DONT PUT IT ON THE INTERNET THEN! I did discover that there is another bloke in her life, feel pretty pissed off about that, because even thou we were defo not going anywhere, I feel like she had to keep it secret from me (also it is the final nail in the coffin regarding any hope that I thought that we should be together).

Now here is the issue dearest readers. On one hand I feel like I have betrayed her, but on the other I feel that if you put stuff on the internet then SURELY you should expect people to read it. I honestly don't think that you can keep reality and the internet separate without password protecting things. I know that I will probably loose her as a friend over this, but I suppose we have to play the card that we have been dealt with.

I dont advertise the fact that I have this blog too much, but if someone I know reads it then I know that. I don't go putting my deepest, darkest secrets on here. This is the bloody internet after all.

Hmm, rant over.

Moral of the story, you can never stay anonymous forever.

Looking forward.

Its Sunday today. Which means that a new week will start tomorrow and for the first time in a while I am looking forward to it.

Job prospects are looking good. Expecting some more developments in the coming week. I am going to see Frank Turner play in Swansea and honestly can't wait. I now know how little 15 year old girls feel when One Direction (or any other generic boy band) come into town. I actually am proper digging Mr. Turner at the moment and its great. I have never felt this connected with music before. Its great!!! And then next weekend some plans are being put into place to make it epic!!!

This last week was pretty cool. I am not going to go on a massive rant about issues that have affected me this week - just some bullet points.

- Obama won, everyone can feel safe again.
- Things do work out in the end.
- Sometime you really have to just go for the moment and not care about the future.
- The BBC actually cannot do anything right at the moment.
- My life would be so much better if I didn't watch I am a celebrity.

'Bout it for now.

Until next time

Changing as people.

Howdy one and all,

Todays subject is all about how we change as people in our lives. Its only brief but dont let the deter you. So if you have all got your pens and paper out then I shall begin.

A few recent things have happened to me that have made me reflect on my past. I had a excellent weekend that had just gone. I went to a Tapas party, I played golf and I watched a organised firework display. All things that if you had told me 10 years ago that was how I would be spending a weekend, I probably would have laughed in your face. Then ran off and jumped into the nearest hedge. It just brought home how much we all change over time and don't really notice it. One moment you are watching Red Dwarf season 4 for the first time and the next you are making Gazpachio soup (was amazing BTW) in preparation for a dinner party. I like it, I really do. It is quite exciting to think where will I be in 10 years time (probably a bum on the streets of Bristol who has turned to the bottle).

Here is to the next 10 years - whatever they may bring to each and everyone of us.

Newsflash!

Hey Guys & Girls.

Back again. Just read another blog of a friend of mine about his trip to the Emerald Isle and I thought that I would write another entry. Don't really know where this one is going but hey ho, lets go!

One thing that is really getting on my nerves at the moment is the news. I am talking about the whole Jimmy Saville incident that is flying about at the moment. When I first heard about it I was, of course, appalled about the extent of it. However, as time has gone on it is frustrating me. Now, don't think for one second that I am disrespecting the hundreds of people who have been affected by it. My heart goes out to each and everyone of them, but when something is on every news broadcast on the radio, headlining every paper and the top story on every bulletin you can get too saturated by it all. For instance the death toll in the States as a result of 'Superstorm' Sandy is 80 (and rising), A tanker crashed in Saudi Arabia killing 22 (and that is expected to rise) and injuring 111 people and 20 people were murdered by a gunman in Nigeria. All those stories happened TODAY. Because that Freddie Starr was arrested that has the main bulletin (with the exception of what is going on the states). It just infuriates me that we don't hear the half of what is going on in the world, OUR world.

Moving on from one depressing subject to another. Poppy day is fast approaching and I hold a controversial view about that too. I respect the Poppy campaign but I don't support it. For those who don't know what it is all about. Every year around remembrance sunday the charity of the Royal British Legion sells poppies to raise money for members of the armed forces and their families. This is all well and good (pretty much every charity is, by definition it does good for people in need) however I would like to draw attention to another charity that doesn't get half as much exposure and (in my view) does more good. I am talking about the Peace Pledge Union. They sell white poppies and they support working towards peace in the world. Now I know you are probably thinking "peace loving hippie" but let me put it this way. Surely it will do good if we can stop war all together? I am in no way disrespecting the dead from war and by that I mean all the dead (civillians included).

Yet again, thanks for reading. Please remember that these are just my views. If you don't like them, then don't read this blog in future. We are all individual and that is what makes each and everyone of us beautiful.

Be Wonderful To Each Other.
